Meet the Captain

I’ve always believed life is better when you stay open to where it leads.

For me, Allure is more than a boat. She’s a way to slow down, be present, meet people I might never have crossed paths with otherwise, and share the kinds of moments that are hard to plan — a great conversation, an unexpected anchorage, a beautiful sunset, a little adventure, or simply a day on the water that turns into something memorable.

I love sailing, but what matters most to me is the connection that happens along the way. Some days are peaceful. Some are unpredictable. That’s part of it. You adjust, keep moving, and enjoy the experience for what it is.

Sail Allure is really about sharing that philosophy: stay curious, welcome good people aboard, appreciate where you are, and follow the journey wherever it leads.

I first saw Allure in Baie de Marigot, Saint Martin, in 2022 — and in that brief moment, I fell in love.

Six months later, I flew to Nassau to meet her and her previous owners, Lukas and Amber. Together, we sailed Allure back to the United States, beginning a new chapter that would include an extensive refit in New Bern, North Carolina.

By the end of 2024, the real journey had begun.

I’ve spent decades on the water, from powerboats to coastal cruising, building experience at the helm and learning that good seamanship is as much about judgment, patience, and staying calm as it is about knowing how to handle a boat.

But what keeps drawing me back has always been something simpler: the freedom of being on the water, the places it takes you, and the people you meet along the way.
